New Delhi: India recorded 38,949 fresh COVID-19 cases and 542 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total number of active coronavirus cases in the country has gone up to 4,30,422 while the cumulative death toll has reached 4,12,531.
Nearly 40,026 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,01,83,876, the Health Ministry said.
According to the data available, the cumulative number of coronavirus vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 39,53,43,767, with the inoculation of 38,78,078 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours.
Yesterday, the country recorded 41,806 fresh COVID-19 cases and 581 deaths in 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the country recorded 38,792 new COVID-19 cases and 624 deaths in 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the country reported 31,443 fresh COVID-19 cases, the lowest in 118 days.
On Monday, the country recorded 37,154 fresh COVID-19 cases and 724 deaths in 24 hours.
On Sunday, the country recorded 41,506 COVID-19 cases and 895 deaths in 24 hours.
On Saturday last, the country recorded 42,766 COVID-19 cases and 1,206 deaths in 24 hours.
