India reports further decline in new Covid cases

New Delhi: India reported further reduction in fresh Covid numbers today, with 60,471 new cases being recorded along with 2726 deaths in last 24 hours.

The single day figure is lowest in 75 days, according to the Union Health Ministry.

The total death toll due to coronavirus now is 3,77,031 while the cumulative active cases are 9,13,378.

Yesterday, the country reported 70,421 single day infections, against 80,834 recorded during the previous day.

The single day deaths due to Covid reported yesterday were 3921.

On Sunday, the country reported 3,303 deaths in a span of 24 hours.

On Saturday last, the country recorded 84,332 new single day COVID19 cases along with 4,002 fatalities in 24 hours.

On Friday, the country reported 91,702 new COVID-19 cases and 3,403 deaths in 24 hours.

On Thursday, the country recorded a big jump in single-day deaths due to coronavirus, with 6148 fatalities being recorded in a span of 24 hours, against 2219 recorded the previous day.

The government also reported 94,052 new single day COVID-19 cases on Thursday, against 92,596 reported on Wednesday.
