COVID-19 threatens people with heart diseases, as winter hints at a second wave

New Delhi: India recorded 34,703 new COVID-19 cases and 553 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this increase, the total number of active coronavirus cases in the country has gone up to 4,64,357 while the cumulative death toll has reached 4,03,281.

Nearly 51,864 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 2,97,52,294, the Health Ministry said.

According to the data available, a total of 35,75,53,612 vaccination doses have been administered to the people of India so far.

Yesterday, the country recorded 39,796 new COVID-19 cases and 723 deaths in 24 hours.

On Sunday, the country recorded 43,071 new COVID-19 cases and 955 deaths in 24 hours.

On Saturday, the country recorded 44,111 new COVID-19 cases and 738 deaths in 24 hours.

On Friday, the country reported 46,617 new COVID-19 cases and 853 deaths in 24 hours.

On Thursday, the country registered 48,786 new COVID-19 cases and 1,005 deaths in a span of 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the country reported 45,951 new single day cases of corona and 817 deaths.
