New Delhi: India registered 2,593 fresh Covid cases and 44 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll across the country has reached 5,22,193 and the country’s active cases stand at 15,873.
Nearly 1,755 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,25,19,479, it said.
The country’s daily positivity rate now stands at 0.59% and weekly positivity rate at 0.54%.
Yesterday, the country registered 2,527 new cases recorded in 24 hours.
On Friday morning, the country registered 2,451 fresh Covid cases and 54 fatalities in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 2,380 fresh Covid cases and 54 fatalities in 24 hours.
The country registered 2,067 fresh Covid cases and 40 fatalities during the previous 24 hours.
On Tuesday morning, the country registered 1,247 fresh Covid cases and one fatality in 24 hours.
