Indian Navy launches ‘Operation Samudra Setu-II’ to meet oxygen demand in country

New Delhi (NVI): In order to boost the ongoing national mission for meeting oxygen demand amid COVID-19 situation in the country, the Indian Navy today launched ‘Operation Samudra Setu-II’, Defence Ministry said.

“The @indiannavy has launched Operation Samudra Setu-II to augment the ongoing national mission for meeting the Oxygen requirements. The Indian Naval ships will undertake shipment of Oxygen filled containers and other medical equipment in support of India’s fight against COVID-19,” Ministry tweeted.

“Two ships INS Kolkata and INS Talwar have entered port of Manama, Bahrain for embarking and transporting 40MT of liquid oxygen to Mumbai.INS Jalashwa is enroute to Bangkok and INS Airavat to Singapore for similar missions,” it added.
