New Delhi (NVI): India reported the highest single day Covid deaths of 4,529 today even as 2,67,334 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.
The single day death figure was 4,329 yesterday when 2,63,533 new cases were recorded in the country.
The death toll during a period of 24 hours reported a day earlier was 4,106 against 4,077 recorded in the previous 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry.
The total death toll in the country now stands at 2,83,248 with the cumulative active cases being 32,26,719.
On Saturday last, 3,26,098 new COVID cases were reported along with 3,890 deaths during a period of 24 hours.
The previous day, the country reported 3,43,144 new Covid cases and 4,000 deaths in 24 hours.
A day earlier, 3,62,727 new COVID cases and 4,120 deaths were reported in the country during a span of 24 hours.
