COVID-19 threatens people with heart diseases, as winter hints at a second wave

New Delhi: India recorded 37,154 fresh COVID-19 cases and 724 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this increase, the total number of active coronavirus cases in the country has gone up to 4,50,899 while the cumulative death toll has reached 4,08,764.

Nearly 39,649 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,00,14,713, the Health Ministry said.

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country stands at  37,73,52,501, it said.

Yesterday, the country recorded 41,506 COVID-19 cases and 895 deaths in 24 hours.

On Saturday, the country recorded 42,766 COVID-19 cases and 1,206 deaths in 24 hours.

On Friday, the country recorded 43,393 COVID-19 cases and 911 deaths in 24 hours.

On Thursday, the country recorded 45,892 new COVID-19 cases and 817 deaths in 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the country recorded 43,733 new COVID-19 cases and 930 deaths in 24 hours

On Tuesday, the country recorded 34,703 new COVID-19 cases and 553 deaths in 24 hours.
