India’s daily Covid cases fall below 7,000

COVID-19 threatens people with heart diseases, as winter hints at a second wave

New Delhi: India registered 6,561 fresh Covid cases and 142 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 5,14,388.

The active cases stood at 0.18%, taking cummulative caseload to 77,152.

The country’s daily positivity rate is stand at 0.74% and weekly positivity rate 0.99%.

Nearly 14,947 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,23,53,620, the Ministry said.

Yesterday, the country registered 7,554 fresh Covid cases and 223 fatalities in 24 hours.

On Tuesday morning, the country registered 6,915 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the government reported 8,013 fresh Covid cases and 119 fatalities in 24 hours.

On Sunday morning, the country registered 10,273 fresh Covid cases and 243 fatalities in 24 hours.

A day earlier, the government reported 11,499 fresh Covid cases and 255 fatalities in 24 hours.
