India’s daily covid count dip to 2,503, lowest in 680 days

New Delhi: India registered 2,503 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest single-day figure in 680 days, the Union Health Ministry said today.

The country‘s Covid death count has also dipped to 27. With this, the cumulative death toll has risen to 5,15,877.

The active cases across the country stand at 0.08%, taking the total active caseload to 36,168 which is the lowest in 675 days, it said.

Nearly 4,377 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,24,41,449, it said.

Yesterday, the country registered 3,116 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours, which was the lowest single-day figure in 673 days.

The country also registered 47 Covid fatalities during the previous 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country registered 3,614 new cases in 24 hours.

On Friday morning, 4,194 fresh Covid cases and 255 fatalities were recorded across the country in 24 hours.

The country registered 4,184 fresh Covid cases and 104 fatalities in 24 hours, a day earlier.

On Wednesday morning, the country registered 4,575 fresh Covid cases and 145 fatalities in 24 hours.
