India‘s single-day Covid cases dip to 2,539

New Delhi: India registered 2,539 fresh Covid cases and 60 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 5,16,132.

The active cases across the country stand at 0.07%, taking the total active caseload to 30,799.

Nearly 4,491 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,24,54,546, it said.

Yesterday, the country registered 2,876 fresh Covid cases and 98 fatalities in 24 hours.

On Tuesday morning, the county registered 2,568 new cases in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country registered 2,503 fresh Covid cases and 27 deaths in 24 hours.

On Sunday morning, the country registered 3,116 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours, which was the lowest single-day figure in 673 days.

The country also registered 47 Covid fatalities during the previous 24 hours.

A day earlier, the country registered 3,614 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours.
