India’s single day COVID cases drop below 15k

New Delhi: India’s single day Covid cases saw a big decline as the country registered 14,313 new infections in the last 24 hours against 18,132 a day earlier.

The country recorded 181 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Ministry of Health said today.

With this increase, the total active cases now are 2,14,900 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,50,963, it said.

Nearly 26,579 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,33,20,057.

A total of 95,89,78,049 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far with inoculating 65,86,092 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours.

The country recorded 193 fatalities in 24 hours, yesterday.

Nearly 18,166 new infections cases along with 214 deaths were recorded in 24 hours on Sunday.

The single-day figure reported last Friday was 21,257 along with 271 deaths in a span of 24 hours.

The previous day, the country recorded 22,431 COVID-19 cases and 318 deaths in 24 hours.

A day earlier, the country recorded 18,833 fresh COVID-19 cases and 278 deaths in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, 18,833 fresh COVID-19 cases and 278 deaths were reported in 24 hours.
