Jammu: Indian Army has foiled an infiltration bid in Rajouri sector of Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir last night, killing 2 intruders.

The attempt to infiltrate from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir was made in Pukharni area, the Army said today.

On the intervening night, the Indian troops deployed at the LoC noticed some suspicious movement and opened fire.

Later, 2 bodies were found lying near the fence, the Army said.

“In reconnaissance by Quadcopter, two bodies of infiltrators have been observed and the area is being scanned further,” the Army said in a statement.

Efforts were being made to take the bodies into custody for identification.
