Infiltration bid foiled in J&K, 2 terrorists killed

Poonch (J&K) : Two terrorists trying to sneak in from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) were killed in Poonch sector of Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir today, the Indian Army said.

The alert Army soldiers, at around 2 am, noticed 2 individuals moving across LoC in General area Degwar Terva, the Army said.

To neutralize the infiltration attempt, a joint operation was launched by Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP).

“Two infiltrating terrorists were engaged by the joint teams of IA and JKP,” Army spokesman said.

“One terrorist fell down immediately. Second terrorist tried to run back to LoC, (was) engaged and hit and seen falling down near LoC,” the spokesman added.
