New Delhi, Sept 13 (NVI): Indian Navy’s missile corvette INS Kulish arrived at Ream Naval Base in Cambodia on September 12 as part of the Eastern Fleet’s operational deployment aimed at enhancing maritime cooperation and strengthening professional ties with the Royal Cambodian Navy.
The ship was received by representatives of the Royal Cambodian Navy and officials from the Indian Embassy in Cambodia upon arrival, according to an official statement.
The visit will include professional interactions, familiarisation visits, sports events and other structured engagements between the two navies to facilitate exchange of operational knowledge and improve interoperability.
The Indian Navy said the port call is part of India’s ongoing efforts to expand maritime outreach in the Indo-Pacific region and aligns with the country’s Act East Policy and the MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions) vision.
The deployment also reflects India’s commitment to promoting a free, open and inclusive maritime environment across the region.—(NVI)
