New Delhi (NVI): Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to launch EOS-01 satellite along with nine international customer satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota on November 7.
This will be the 51st mission of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C49), ISRO’s workhorse. “The launch is tentatively scheduled at 1502 hrs IST on November 7 subject to weather conditions”, ISRO said in a statement.
EOS-01 is an earth observation satellite intended for applications in agriculture, forestry and disaster management support, the space agency said.
The customer satellites are being launched under commercial agreement with New Space India Limited (NSIL), Department of Space.
In view of the strict COVID-19 pandemic norms in place at the launch centre, gathering of media personnel is not planned at SDSC SHAR and the viewing gallery will also be closed, ISRO said.
However the live telecast of the launch will be available on ISRO website, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channels, it added.
