JeM militant held in North Kashmir; arms, ammo recovered

Bandipora (NVI): Security forces today arrested a Jaish-e-Mohammad militant who was recruited just two weeks ago and recovered arms and ammunition from him.

The militant, who has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad of Panzigam village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, had joined Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit 14 days ago, a police official said.

He said that a pistol, 10 bullets and 5 grenades were recovered from the possession of apprehended militant.

A formal case in this regard has been registered and investigation has been started, he added.
