Srinagar (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested two Jaish-e-Mohammed militant associates from South Kashmir’s Awantipora district.
In an official statement, the police said that two militant associates of Jaish-e-Mohammed outfit were arrested from Tral and Pampore area.
They said that the duo was involved in providing shelter, support, logistics as well as in transporting of arms and ammunition in the area and passing sensitive information to the terrorists of JeM.
The arrested militant associates have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Chopan resident of Wagad Tral and Mursaleen Bashir Sheikh resident of Chatlam Pampore, police officials said in a statement.
The official further added that incriminating material has also been recovered from both the arrested persons.
Meanwhile, a case stands registered against the said arrested persons in Police Station Tral and Police Station Pampore respectively under relevant sections of the law, police said.
