Srinagar, Sep 03 (NVI): Government of Jammu and Kashmir has appointed Jatinder Singh Johar, IPS, AIG (Crime & Complaints) at Police Headquarters (PHQ), J&K, as the Nodal Officer for the forthcoming General Elections to the Legislative Assembly in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, 2024.
In this regards, an order a copy of which lies with the News Vibes of India (NVI) reads, so far as permissible, the decision to that effect was taken in the coordination meeting held in the Home Department on the same day, after consulting the PHQ, by the Home Department vide Government.
“Based on the consultation with PHQ in the Coordination meeting held in Home Department on 02.09.2024, sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Mr. Jatinder Singh Johar, IPS, AIG (Crime & Complaints) PHQ, J&K as Nodal Officer, for coordinating and furnishing of reports in respect of grievances received from Election Commission of India, during the General Elections to Legislative Assembly in the UT of J&K, 2024.
