J&K Govt reshuffles Bureaucracy, Five senior IAS officers transferred

Jammu, Jan 30: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered the transfer and posting of five senior IAS officials in the interest of administration.

The move is aimed at streamlining governance and strengthening the bureaucratic structure in key districts.

As per the official order, Jatin Kishore (IAS, AGMUT:2020), serving as Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat and holding additional charge as Director, Information J&K, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal. His appointment comes as part of efforts to enhance governance in the central Kashmir district.

Similarly, Shishir Gupta (IAS, AGMUT:2020), who was serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, replacing Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar (JKAS), who has been directed to report to the General Administration Department (GAD) for further posting.

In another key posting, Nitish Rajora (IAS, AGMUT:2021), formerly Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Jammu (North), has been appointed as the Director, Information J&K. His role will be crucial in shaping the government’s public outreach and media communication strategies.

Further, Rakesh Kumar (IAS, AGMUT:2021), previously SDM, Hiranagar, has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.

In north Kashmir, Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak (IAS, AGMUT:2022), who was serving as SDM, Akhnoor, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as SDM, Uri, Baramulla. He replaces Javid Ahmad Rather (JKAS), who has been directed to report to the GAD for further posting.

The reshuffle comes as part of routine administrative changes and is expected to bring fresh leadership and efficiency to governance in the respective districts.                        (News Vibes of India)
