Srinagar (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested three terrorist associates of different militant outfits in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A police official said that on a specific tip-off, raids were conducted in various areas of the district and three people were arrested who had militancy links.
“Three militant associates from various parts of the Bandipora district were arrested. Incriminating material was recovered from them,” the officer said. He said that the trio was involved in serious offenses like providing shelter, logistics support, and assistance to militants operating in the district from time to time.
The officer further said that the arrested trio belonged to different militant outfits. They have been identified as Abrar Gulzar, resident of Bagh, Bandipora, Muhammad Waqar, resident of Chettibandi, Bandipora and Muneer Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Quil Muqam, Bandipora.
He said that a case under section 16, 18,39 of UAPA, 7/27 IA act have been registered in police station Bandipora and further investigation of the case is going on.
