J&K MLAs to undergo Specialized Training in Governance, Legislative skills from tomorrow

Srinagar, Jan 08(NVI): In a significant move aimed at bolstering the legislative capabilities of Jammu and Kashmir’s elected representatives, the Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) will take part in a three-day orientation program starting tomorrow at the Jammu Assembly Complex.

The program, focusing on improving legislative conduct and fostering key governance skills, will be conducted by experts from PRIDE New Delhi.

“The introduction of this training program marks a crucial step towards strengthening our legislative framework and ensuring that our MLAs are well-equipped to serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” said the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather.”By improving their understanding of the legislative process and enhancing their skill sets, we are empowering our representatives to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.”

The orientation will cover essential topics related to the legislative process, public engagement and effective lawmaking. Aiming to enhance both the personal and professional growth of the legislators, the program is designed to prepare them for the challenges of governance while ensuring they uphold the principles of democracy.
