Jammu (NVI): A terror attack was foiled as a Road Opening Party (ROP) of Army found an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) near Manjakote in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir and destroyed it.
The traffic was immediately controlled on the highway near Manjakote and Bomb Disposal Squad was called in, after a suspicious object was found along highway near Manjakote, SSP Rajouri said in a statement.
The suspected material, packed in a fruit packing box, was destroyed through a controlled explosion, according to the police.
Further investigation is underway with a case under relevant sections of law registered in Manjakote police station, they said.
