New Delhi (NVI): With massive production of COVID-19 vaccine in India underway, Philippines Presidential adviser for entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion has said that Go Negosyo and his office will help bring “Covaxin” from India to the Southeast Asian country.
The announcement was made at a meeting with Ambica International Corp. and IP Biotech, the distributors of Covaxin, according to the media reports.
“Covaxin is promising as it was the one used by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has posted 81 percent efficacy from the interim results of its phase 3 trial. It is now only awaiting FDA approval,” the report quoted Concepcion as saying.
This is part of Concepcion’s continuous effort to secure more COVID-19 vaccine doses for the country. He is also closely working on the timeline and the pricing for Covaxin, hoping they would be delivered around May and priced at the best possible minimum, the reports said.
In this regard, Indian envoy to Philippines, Shambhu Kumaran took to Twitter and thanked Joey Concepcion and Go Negosyo for their support in bringing COVID-19 vaccine from India to the Philippines.
“Thank you @joeyconofficial and @letsgonegosyo for valuable support in efforts to deliver #COVID19 vaccine from India to Philippines. Covaxin combines trust and reliability of Indian pharma. Most important: it can reach SMEs here faster than others!” he tweeted.
