Srinagar: In a major achievement, security forces killed 4 Pakistan-supported terrorists in 2 separate overnight encounters in Kashmir, including the killers of TV artist Amreen Bhat.
With this, 10 terrorists, including 6 Pakistanis, have been neutralised in Kashmir in the last 3 days.
In an encounter in Aganhanzipora area of Awantipora in South Kashmir, two terrorists were killed early this morning, police said.
Both the local terrorists had recently joined Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit, police said.
“They had #killed TV artist (Amreen Bhat) on the instruction of LeT Cmdr Lateef. 01 AK 56 rifle, 4 magazines and a pistol recovered,” Kashmir police tweeted, quoting IGP Kashmir.
Amreen was shot dead and her 11-year-old nephew was injured in terror attack outside her residence in Chadoora area of Budgam district 2 days back (Wednesday night).
“Heinous #murder case of late Ambreen bhat solved in 24 hours,” Kashmir police tweeted quoting IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar.
Another encounter took place overnight in Soura area of Srinagar, in which security forces killed 2 terrorists of LeT.
“#Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition recovered,” the police tweeted.
In a separate tweet, the police pointed out that 10 terrorists, including 3 from JeM & 7 from LeT terror outfits, had been killed in 3 days in Kashmir valley.
