Srinagar, Sep 28 (NVI) : A Soldier and a Policeman were injured in an ongoing encounter at Adigam, Devsar in Kulgam district of South Kashmir, defence sources said.
They said that a Soldier and a Policeman were injured who were evacuated to the Srinagar base hospital.
Earlier, an encounter started between terrorists and security forces Adigam village of Kulgam. “As the troops inched closer to the suspected spot, they came under heavy fire which was exchanged effectively,” the officials earlier told NVI.
He said two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area.
Additional reinforcements have been called in to ensure terrorists don’t flee. “Cordon layers are being strengthened,” the officer said.
