Major hit to Pak forces in Balochistan

Quetta: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has dealt a major blow to the Pakistani military, capturing their 2 personnel and killing 6 other personnel by shooting down an attack helicopter of the occupying forces in Balochistan.

The military personnel killed in the shooting down of the helicopter included 2 Major-rank officers.

In a statement sent to NVI, the outfit’s spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said the successes were achieved in a special operation carried out by the freedom fighters last night.

“Feedom fighters of Baloch Liberation Army carried out a special operation in Shahrag on verified information from BLA’s intelligence wing.

“A junior commissioned officer of Pakistani military and a personnel of Pakistani secretive agency was arrested in this operation,” the statement said.

Later, in a battle with forces that had come for the rescue of arrested personnel, a Pakistani helicopter was shot down, killing all six enemy personnel aboard, the spokesman said.

Trucks plundering Baloch resources were also targeted during the operation, he said.

Giving details, Baloch said that last night, freedom fighters of BLA blocked a highway at Zardaalo near Harnai and arrested a junior commissioned officer of Pakistani military and a personnel of Pakistani secretive agencies.

The arrested enemy personnel have been identified as Naib Subaidaar Kaleem Ullah of FC 114 Wing Loralai Scouts and personnel of secretive agency Mohammad Faisal r/o Qasoor Punjab.

“Both enemy personnel are involved in heinous war crimes, including disappearance and torture of Baloch youth,” he said.

“Both enemy personnel are going through the interrogation process under BLA’s custody,” he said, adding that “after investigation, they will be produced before the Baloch national court, which will decide their fate.”

The court’s decision will be communicated to the media too, the spokesman assured.

During the operation, BLA fighters also targeted four trucks that were transporting plundered Baloch resources, he said.

These trucks were loaded with coal, Baloch said and added that the drivers of these trucks were released after a warning.

“After arrest of enemy personnel, Pakistani helicopters dropped troops into the area to carry out a rescue operation.

“However, BLA freedom fighters targeted these enemy troops and halted their advances.

“During this battle, freedom fighters of BLA targeted and shot down an enemy helicopter with rocket launchers and long range weapons,” the spokesman said.

“Six enemy personnel including Major Khurram, Major Muneeb, Naik Jaleel, Gunner Shoaib, Subaidar Abdul Waheed and Hawaldaar Mohammad Imran were killed in this attack,” he said.

“BLA fighters successfully reached their desired locations along with the arrested enemy personnel,” he said. .

The BLA spokesman warned that all personnel of occupying forces that are involved in war crimes in Balochistan will be brought to justice.
