New Delhi (NVI): The Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid, will be on a two-day visit to India from April 15 to 16 and will participate in the Raisina Dialogue through virtual mode.
In the Raisina Dialogue, Foreign Minister Shahid will participate in the sessions on ‘Financing for Sun’ and ‘Global public health after the Pandemic’, according to an official statement by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
During his visit, he will also meet the External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar on April 16 and will hold discussions on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Foreign Minister Shahid’s visit is expected to lend further momentum to the close bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the statement read.
Maldives is India’s key maritime neighbour in the Indian Ocean Region and occupies a central and special place in the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘SAGAR’ – Security and Growth for All in the Region.
