Srinagar, Mar 22 (NVI): Police have registered a case and arrested the accused after a video showing harassment and wrongful restraint of an individual at a public park in the Langate area of Handwara went viral, officials said on Sunday.
An FIR (No. 43/2026) has been registered at Police Station Handwara under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including sections 270, 352, 129, and 3(5), a senior police officer said.
The accused involved in the incident have been identified and arrested, the officer said.
Further investigation into the case is underway, police added.(NVI)
