Jammu, Aug 8 (NVI): A man was killed after being hit by a vehicle belonging to the convoy of a senior legislator of Jammu and Kashmir in the Gangyal area here on Saturday night, officials said.
The accident took place near Royal Furniture Showroom in the Satwari area, they said.
According to officials, the vehicle was part of the convoy returning after dropping the legislator at his residence in Kunjwani when it allegedly hit the man.
The victim, identified as Bharat, son of Bhagirath, was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation.(NVI)
