In a statement issued here, a police spokesman said that DGP Swain, chairperson J&KPWWA Rasmita Das and IGP Kashmir Birdhi visited the house of slain DySP Humayun Muzamil Bhat’s wife Fatima Humayun to pay tributes to the brave police officer. Humayun was recently awarded Kirti Chakra posthumously.
The police chief and other members of the delegation expressed their love to toddler son of Humayun.
Paying glowing tributes to the martyr, DGP and his colleagues reminisced Humayun as a rare combination of fortitude and kindness and committed as much to his family as to the common people of Kashmir through his profession.
Humayun, the mortal is no more, long live Humayun, the martyr and the martyrdom of all policemen he represents.
All may know that time can erode many things but not the affection and respect that binds the ‘living’ with the ‘fallen’ in J&K.
