Srinagar, Mar 07 (NVI) : Mehbooba Mufti, president of the People’s Democratic Party, on Saturday urged Narendra Modi to personally intervene to ensure the safe return of students from Jammu and Kashmir stranded in Iran amid the deteriorating security situation there
In a post on X, the former J&K chief minister appealed to the Prime Minister for immediate action, urging him to ensure the students’ safe passage home and asked the Ministry of External Affairs and External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to begin evacuation efforts at the earliest.
Mufti said that the rapidly evolving situation in Iran has left many Kashmiri students stranded and their families worried about their safety.—(NVI)
