The kidnapping of girls from minority community is on the rise in Pakistan, despite pressure from the international community and Human Rights groups.
Earlier in October, a 13-year-old Christian girl named Arzoo Raja was forcibly abducted while playing outside her home in Karachi’s Railway Colony. She was forcibly converted to Islam and later married to a 44-year-old man. Various human rights organizations have demanded justice for Raja.
