New Delhi (NVI): Mizoram reported its first Covid-19 related death today after a 62-year-old man succumbed to the deadly virus.
Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga took to twitter in this regard and wrote, “#Mizoram records our first COVID-19 related mortality, a 62-years-old with existing co-morbidities; undergoing treatment at Zoram Medical College. We are shocked, pained and will continue putting up our guards against this pandemic.”

The patient was on ventilator at the Zoram Medical College (ZMC), the state’s only dedicated Covid-19 hospital, after testing positive for the virus on October 19.
So far, Mizoram has reported 2,607 cases of coronavirus, out of which 374 are currently active in the northeastern state.
