Kathua, July 19 (NVI):- An old, rusted mortar shell was recovered near Bella(Khad), Kootah in the Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua district earlier today.
Official sources told News Vibes of India—(NVI) that Upon inspection, the police determined that the mortar shell posed a potential threat and requested the assistance of the Bomb Disposal Squad from District Police Lines (DPL) Kathua.
They said that the specialized team arrived on the scene and worked meticulously to defuse the shell safely.
At approximately 21:09 hours, the bomb disposal squad successfully neutralized the mortar shell, ensuring the safety of the local residents and preventing any possible danger, they added. (News Vibes of India)
