MP minister tests positive for Covid

New Delhi (NVI): Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav late yesterday night said that he has tested positive for coronavirus.

He is the fifth minister in Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s cabinet to test positive for the deadly virus.

Taking to twitter, at around 10 pm last night, Yadav wrote, “My test for coronavirus has come out positive. I have come to Aurovindo hospital. But with the grace of Baba Mahakal, I’m doing well.”

Chouhan himself has tested positive of COVID-19 in the last week of July and had remained in the hospital for two weeks.

Therefore, the government had restricted entry to Mantralaya in the wake of increasing cases of coronavirus.

Earlier, among those who had tested positive for the virus, include Medical Education Minister Vishvas Sarang, Cooperative Minister Arvind Bhadoria, Minister of state for Backward class Ramkhelawan Patel and Water Resource Minister Tulsiram Silawat.

Madhya Pradesh’s coronavirus tally rose to 47,375 after 990 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, while 13 fresh fatalities pushed it’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,141.
