Multiple attacks by TTP on Pakistani forces leave 4 security men dead

Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) carried out multiple attacks at Pakistani forces at various places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since last night, resulting in the confirmed killing at least 4 security personnel and probably several more, according to the Islamist outfit.

This morning, the TTP carried out a landmine attack on the army in Maidan area of ​​Ladha tehsil of South Waziristan, in which one soldier was killed, it spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said.

During the same period, another attack targeted army fort in Meshta area of ​​Ladha, in which heavy weapons and laser guns were used, he said.

There is a strong possibility of loss of life and property in the attack in which a hidden camera was also destroyed, Khurasani said in a statement.

The third attack also took place on the army in Sam College area of ​​the same Ladha tehsil,  in which a soldier was killed in a laser operation, he said.

During the day, the TTP also attacked army camp in Ladha tehsil of South Waziristan with light and heavy weapons, in which there is a strong possibility of casualties, he said.

The TTP also ambushed a police van in Pizo area of ​​Laki Marwat in Bannu, in which two police officers were killed and three were injured, the spokesman said.

In Jadba area of ​​Torghar district of Hazara, TTP today detonated a landmine, targeting the vehicle of Subedar Gulfraz, in which he narrowly escaped, the spokesman said.

He said the Subedar was wanted by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan for a long time in view of many crimes committed by him.

Last night, the TTP attacked a police post in Tali Gram area of Swat in Malakand, in which three police officers were injured and there is a strong possibility of death, he said.
