New Delhi (NVI): In his first ‘Mann ki Baat’ radio address of the year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the country was shocked and saddened to witness the insult of Tricolor at Red Fort on January 26 during farmers rally in Delhi.
In his address today, PM Modi spoke on all the major events that took place in the country in last one month including the violence between protesting farmers and policemen in Delhi and its border areas.
Yesterday, at an all-party meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, he said that the Government’s offer to hold the implementation of three farm laws is on the table. He said that the Government is just a phone call away to take forward talks with protesting farmers.
The PM further said that the Government is committed to modern farming and is taking several steps in this direction. “These efforts will continue in future also,” he said.
PM Modi also talked about India’s emerging potential as a vaccine provider to other countries and help them with their immunisation drives. He said India has been also to do so as it is self-reliant in medicines and vaccines today.
In his address, PM Modi also lauded the Indian cricket team on a historic series win in Australia, saying that after initial hiccups, Team India bounced back gloriously and won the test series in Brisbane.
