NC in discussions with Congress for J&K Government Formation : Omar Abdullah

Srinagar, Oct 10 (NVI): National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah announced today that discussions with Congress are underway to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to reporters after a party meeting in Srinagar, Omar Abdullah, stated that the NC is seeking Congress’s support and that he plans to meet with the Lieutenant Governor (LG) at Raj Bhawan soon to officially stake a claim for forming the government.

He further mentioned that four independent candidates have already pledged their support to the NC.

With the backing of these independents, the NC now has 46 members, while Congress holds six seats.(News Vibes Of India)
