Quetta (Balochistan), Mar 12 (NVI) As 24 hours passed since it seized the Jaffar Express train, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) today said it is in “complete control” with over 200 Pakistani soldiers in its custody and that the Pakistan government has only 24 hours for the exchange of prisoners.

In its latest statement, BLA said after the 48-hour deadline passes tomorrow around this time, 5 hostages will be killed every hour after their trial in the National Court of the outfit for their “crimes” committed on the Baloch land.

The BLA said if the Pakistani State thinks it can “control the situation through delaying tactics and artificial propaganda, they are gravely mistaken.”

“Baloch Liberation Army freedom fighters have maintained complete control over the Jaffar Express and the onboard hostages for the past 24 hours,” its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement to NVI.

“More than 200 serving enemy personnel, including intelligence agents, police and paramilitary forces are in BLA custody,” he said, adding these individuals have been directly involved in state terrorism, enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings and the looting of national resources on Baloch land.

“Keeping in mind international laws of war and human rights, BLA had given the Pakistani state a 48-hour ultimatum to exchange prisoners,” the spokesman said.

“However, the stubbornness, indifference, and continuous delaying tactics of the occupying state prove that Pakistan is not serious about saving the lives of its own military personnel. Instead, it is demonstrating traditional hypocrisy and disregard,” he said.

“Now, a day has passed and the occupying state has only 24 hours left.  If Pakistan does not make practical progress on the prisoner exchange within the given ultimatum, all hostages will be presented before the Baloch National Court,” he warned.

“There, they will be tried on charges of state atrocities, colonial occupation, genocide, exploitation and involvement in war crimes in Balochistan,” Jeeyand Baloch said.

“This trial will be prompt, impartial and transparent and if found guilty, the criminals will be punished according to Baloch national laws,” he said.

In a message to Pakistan and its military institutions, the spokesman said if they “believe they can control the situation through delaying tactics and artificial propaganda, they are gravely mistaken.”

He asserted that BLA has the strength, capability and determination to fully implement every announcement it makes.

“It is evident that the Pakistani army neither values the lives of its personnel nor is making a serious attempt at negotiations. If this attitude persists then with every passing hour after the ultimatum expires, five hostages will be punished according to the decision of the Baloch National Court,” he said.

The spokesman said Baloch Liberation Army is giving the enemy a final opportunity to abandon propaganda, acknowledge the ground realities, face the truth instead of fabricating artificial narratives and take practical steps for prisoner exchange.

“Otherwise, the decisions of the Baloch National Resistance will be irreversible and each passing moment will bring more serious consequences for the enemy,” he said. (NVI)
