New Delhi (NVI): People travelling by air to Delhi from Maharashtra will have to show a negative RT-PCR Covid-19 test done 72 hours prior to arrival, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority said tonight.
“It will be mandatory for people travelling by air from Maharashtra to Delhi to carry a negative RT-PCR test done 72 hours prior to arrival. If found without report, mandatory quarantine of 14 days,” the order said.
According to the order, all social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious, festival-related gatherings and congregations have been prohibited throughout the NCT of Delhi.
However, students of classes 9 to 12 may be called to school only for academic guidance and support for mid-term exams or pre-board exams or annual exams or board exams, practical exams or project works, internal assessment with the consent of parents.
The DDMA said that Intra-State movement of buses shall be permitted with condition that not more than 50% of bus capacity be allowed at one time inside the bus.
“Stadia for organizing sports events shall be allowed without spectators,” the DDMA noted.
The Authorities further asserted that all swimming pools will remain shut.
“All swimming pools will remain shut, except the ones being used for training of sportspersons for participation in national & international events,” it noted.
The order issued by the DDMA also set the limit for people attending funeral or last rites to 20.
“Gatherings related to funeral or last rites are allowed up to attendance of 20 persons,” the Delhi Disaster Management Authority said in its order.
“Marriage-related gatherings are allowed up to 50 persons. Restaurants and bars are allowed up to 50% of the seating capacity. Cinemas or theatres or multiplexes will be permitted to open with up to 50% of seating capacity,” it added.
The order further stated that all government offices of NCT of Delhi or Autonomous bodies or PSUs or Corporations and local bodies shall function with officers of the level of Grade 1 to the extent of 100% strength.
“The remaining staff will attend upto 50% as per requirement to be assessed by HOD concerned,” it said.
“Private offices/ organizations are advised to stagger the office timings and also stagger the presence and quantum of staff with an objective to reduce the number of employees attending office at the same time. They are further advised to follow the practice of work from home, as far as possible,” it said.
In the containment zones, all measures shall be taken strictly as prescribed by MoHFW, Gol as well as H&FW Department, GNCTD, in letter & spirit by all authorities concerned.
