New Delhi (NVI): In the wake of the deadly coronavirus outbreak, the Government has decided to suspend all domestic flights from March 24 midnight to March 31.
”Domestic flight will be suspended from Mar 24 midnight to Mar 31 midnight,” the Aviation Ministry said today.
Airlines will have to land all their domestic passenger flights at destinations by 11.59 pm on Tuesday, it added.
However, the restrictions would not apply for the flights carrying a payload, the ministry said adding that passengers are requested to stay in touch with the airlines for further information related to their flights.
Taking to Twitter, Delhi Airport said, ”As per government mandate, all domestic scheduled flight operations from Delhi airport will be suspended from 2359 hours IST of 24th March 2020 until further notice.”
”The restrictions shall not apply for solely cargo carrying flights. Passengers are requested to stay in touch with the airline concerned for updated flight information. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted, ” it added.
