Srinagar, Sep 09 (NVI): To keep the flock together ahead of the crucial Assembly polls taking place in J&K after a decade, the BJP today assigned new charges to its disgruntled leaders who were denied mandate in a bid to ensure they don’t desert the party.
The new charges, according to BJP officials, have been approved by the BJP national President JP Nadda. The BJP issued a circular that states Sat Sharma will be Party’s new working president.
Sharma was BJP President earlier also. Sharma was denied mandate from Jammu-West Assembly seat where the party fielded Arvind Gupta this time. Similarly, Former Deputy Chief Minister of erstwhile State of J&K Dr Nirmal Singh has been appointed as the party’s election campaign committee incharge. Earlier, Singh represented Bilawar constituency but party this time choose Satish Sharma a new face for the seat.
BJP also appointed Sukhnandan Choudhary, the former minister as vice president of campaign committee.
Another Former Deputy CM & Speaker of J&K Assembly, Kavinder Gupta has been appointed Election Management Incharge. Gupta too was denied mandate this time. He earlier represented Gandhinagar Assembly seat which after delimitation was sliced between Bahu and Jammu-South area.
The party has already faced massive resentment from its senior leaders Chander Mohan and Kashmira Singh, who have decided to contest as independents. (News Vibes of India)
