Srinagar (NVI): Pakistani troops today resorted to mortar shelling and small arms firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati sector of Mendhar in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, defence officials said.
Officials said, “At about 0215 am, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with mortars along the Line of Control in KG sector of Mendhar Sub Division.”
Indian Army retaliated befittingly, they added.
On Monday, three of a family including two children were injured after Pakistan Army violated ceasefire in Mankote Sector of Poonch district and resorted to intense shelling.
