Pak resorts to ceasefire violation in J&K’s Poonch

Srinagar (NVI): Pakistani troops today resorted to ceasefire violation (CFV) along the Line of Control (LoC) in Mankote sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, defence officials said.

The Pakistani Army shelled the Mankote area at around 9.30 am, they added.

“At about 0930 hours, Pak initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with Small Arms & shelling with Mortars along LoC in Mankote sector in District Poonch (J&K),” they said, adding that the Indian Army retaliated befittingly.

Yesterday, Pakistani troops had violated the ceasefire in Balakote sector of Poonch district at around 7.40 pm.
