Pak intruder shot dead at IB in Jammu’s Samba

Jammu (NVI): A Pakistani intruder was today shot dead by BSF troops at International Border in Jammu’s Samba, security officials said.

According to BSF, the intruder was trying to infiltrate along the IB in Ramgarh area of Samba. He was shot dead by BSF soldiers.

“Today (16/03/2021) at about 1555 hrs troops of 176 BN BSF deployed at BOP Malluchak p/s Ramgarh district Samba shot dead one unidentified Pak national near mount no 50 pillar no 12/5 of BOP Malluchak. Inspite of repeated warnings by the troops to stop proceeding further inside, he did not stop and later shot dead inside 1.5 km from IB,” the BSF said in a statement.

BSF said that Rs 200 in Pak currency (1 fifty rupee note, 3 twenty rupee note and 9 ten rupee notes) were also recovered from his possession.

“It is suspected that the said Pak national was mentally disturbed and his dead body is being brought to CHC Ramgarh for post mortem,” they said.

The area has been cordoned off and search operations were launched in the area, they said, adding that the police has also been informed about the incident.
