New Delhi (NVI): The total number of COVID-19 cases in Pakistan has surged past 1,000 with 9 fatalities in the neighboring country so far, according to Dawn.
Out of the total 1190 cases, 21 have recovered. Dawn reports that 421 cases have been reported from Sindh, 405 from Punjab, 25 from Islamabad, and 131 from Balochistan.
Sindh is the worst-hit region in the country with over 400 cases, Pakistan government said.
In Karachi alone, 130 people are affected, with the majority said to be “local transmission” cases.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has confirmed 123 COVID-19 cases while Balochistan reported 110 cases, according to Dawn.
