Pakistan shells forward posts in J&K’s Rajouri

Srinagar (NVI): Pakistan today resorted to ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshehra sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Defense official said that the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing and mortar shelling.

“Violation of ceasefire started at around 1.00 pm,” official said, adding that areas of Kalsiyan, Baba Khori, Jhanger and others are under heavy firing and shelling from Pak Army.

He said Indian troops are responding befittingly.

The exchange of shelling and firing was going on till the firing of this report.

Earlier on January 1, an Indian Army soldier was killed by Pakistan in a ceasefire violation in Nowshera Sector.
