Pakistan: TTP kills 5 policemen, 2 paramilitary men

Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) killed 5 policemen and 2 personnel of paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) in 2 separate attacks last night, its spokesman said today.

TTP Mujahideen attacked policemen on the bridge in Rigi Model Town in Peshawar City, spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said in a statement.

As a result of the attack, 2 policemen were killed on the spot while 3 officers died in the hospital, he said.

The Mujahideen managed to get out safely, he added.

In another attack, TTP ambushed FC patrol vehicles in Nala area of ​​District Bara of Khyber Agency, Peshawar Province.

Two FC personnel were killed and one was injured in this attack in which laser guns and machine guns were used, Khurasani said.
