Peshawar, Mar 7 (NVI) Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today slammed the Pakistani secret agencies for issuing a warning that “Taliban target killers” are planning to kill religious figure Sheikh Aminullah.

The TTP reiterated that it has no intention to target any religious figure.

“A security warning has been issued by Pakistani intelligence agencies that a formation of Taliban target killers has entered the city to kill many people including Sheikh Aminullah,” said a statement issued by TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani to NVI.

Describing it as a “cunning trick of Pakistani secret agencies”, he said, “the TTP has repeatedly explained that our target is only the security agencies and their tools, and political and religious parties are not our target at all.”

The spokesman said the TTP “considers the killing of scholars as a loss to the Muslim Ummah and is continuing this holy jihad for the protection of scholars and the implementation of the Islamic system.” (NVI)
