Jammu (NVI): Pakistani troops today resorted to massive mortar shelling and small arms firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, defence officials said.
They said that the Pakistan army targeted forward posts in the area, adding that the Indian Army retaliated effectively.
Pakistan army targeted Dabraj area of Mankote sector in Mendhar.
The Indian Army also issued a statement regarding ceasefire violation in the evening which read: “Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on the line of control (LoC). Own troops responded strongly to the enemy fire.”
There was no loss of life or property, sources said.
